In this workshop, you will be guided through the complete journey of creating embroidery and print designs from concept to final Illustrations. We will begin by learning how to research effectively, drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources such as art, fashion, history, nature, and culture.
Concept Development with Moodboards and Colour Analysis
Learn how to develop moodboards and colour palettes from your research and inspiration. In this stage you will be guided on how to translate research into a clear design language. Alongside this, you will explore colour analysis, understanding how colours interact and how to select palettes that enhance the theme of your work to help with embroidery and print projects.
Design Sketching & Scaling
Put your ideas to sketch in a hands-on digital fashion Sketching session. You will learn how to refine your ideas into strong compositions with your personal style for embroidery and print. You will be guided on how to multiply and scale your designs to fit pieces perfectly while retaining their quality.
By the end of the workshop, you will have built your own design process — from initial research and inspiration to completed drawings ready for embroidery or print.
